Two backyard chickens preside over a tangle of nasturtiums, honeybees, clover and garden insects — the domestic and the wild in cheerful collision. The green mound at the centre sits somewhere between hair and grass, an early moment in Rachel’s practice where the boundary between organic forms began to dissolve. Nothing here is quite what it first appears—inspired by her own personal garden.
