Black Cockatoo's usually pair for life. These birds were symbolic of the relationships that raised me and finality of separation as end of life occurs. Our last goodbyes. . . . until we meet again.

Although known for being mostly Black they are filled with so much colour, reflected in their feathers. I paint through a process of colour and glazes to reach an ambience and spirit in my painting. They provide a great subject throughout my work and make themselves known were I live and paint here in Queensland.
