'Their Excellencies' - Limited Edition Print

Their Excellencies explores the idea of abundance through an elevated interpretation of the botanical world. Drawing inspiration from Australia's rich natural environment, the work presents a heightened reality—one where colour, form, and structure are intensified to create a sense of beauty, richness, and wonder.

The composition was developed through an exploration of fullness and generosity, celebrating the extraordinary complexity found within nature. Layered botanical forms, luminous colour, and intricate textures invite the viewer into a space that feels both familiar and imagined—a portal where nature is experienced at its most vibrant and opulent.

My practice is deeply influenced by the Australian landscape and the remarkable structures, patterns, and colours that surround us. These elements often go unnoticed within the rhythm of everyday life, yet they offer endless inspiration and a reminder of the beauty that exists in our environment. Through this work, I hope to encourage a renewed appreciation for these natural treasures and the importance of preserving them for future generations.

The work was selected as a finalist in the Flying Arts Awards, recognising its contribution to contemporary Australian botanical painting. Following the exhibition, the painting was acquired by a New Zealand couple as a wedding gift from their family—an outcome that speaks to the work's themes of abundance, celebration, and enduring connection.
