Ephemeral Currents captures the fleeting nature of sensation in the body and its capacity to feel. The work explores the intersection of memory, movement, and sensory experience. There is a freedom in such moments, when time slows and we become attuned to the subtle currents running beneath the surface of awareness: the brush of wind against skin, the tension of breath, the ache of remembering. Light moves through strands like wind through thought, evoking a sensory memory that’s more felt than seen. Floating feathers, suspended above the surface, act as echoes, remnants of motion, fragments of touch, or whispers of something passing.
This work honours those internal landscapes, a single strand, where freedom is not permanent, but possible. Through texture, form, and restraint, Ephemeral Currents reflects on how the body holds experience, and how memory lives not just in the mind, but in the shifting rhythms of our presence.
